Question Question on... uh, sound - 08-02-2004, 09:00 | posts: n/a

Hey,

I just wanted to know if it is possible to have sound from Windows Media Player, or similar come from your speakers while having sound from your game come through your headphones on the same PC, at the same time ? If you guys get what I mean...
I have alot of LAN parties at my place, and I have T7700 7.1 speakers, so it would be handy if I could have music playing through my speakers and play games with the in-game sound coming through my headphones. Okay, before anymore confusion thats it.

Thanks

Ok I dont see the point of playing in-game sounds on your headphones and music on the 7.1 speakers when the music is 2.1 and the game could've been 7.1 EAX

I think the only way to sort things out is to have 2 soundcards and have WMP use DirectSound on a Secondary Soundcard in hoping it wont conflict with games
