Default Possible problem with Sim City 4 Deluxe ed... - 02-12-2004, 16:37 | posts: 606 | Location: OH

ok, im trying to figure out if this is related to drivers or not.
but sometimes in Sim City 4, the game will just crash to the desktop.
it u sually doesnt happen that much, what really gets me is this.
when i hit the save button, the game halfway freezes and the cursur turns into the windows one, not the game one. and after a long while the screen will flash and next thing you know my entire city gets corrupted.

i think i had the crash to dekstop problem with my ti4600 too,
but i m just trying to see whats up.
has anyone else had any prolems with sim city 4?

thnks

Exactly the same problem.
I'm on win2k, with a ti4200 (no o/c) and 768mo of memory and started with omega drivers, the most recent versions. crash after let's say... 15mns.
then i tried some officials (not the latest, they distort the game)... same thing, the game crash. and i changed again of drivers and still nothing.
I'm just thinking about an OS problem and passing to winxp but with my old geforce2mx, i had no problem of that kind and i'm really lazy. Changing the OS is the last thing i wanna do.
the temperature ? the tower is wide opened. no problem for this

where have you seen i was talking about a warez or official version ?
if only you could have read my post completely, you would have realized that on my first card it was working without any bug and on the new one. not.
therefore before answering that way, you could at least be a bit more patient and helpful
