I did everything like bluefirexp wrote. i installed nvstrap and patched both 45.28 and 45.32 with nvstrap antiprotection, detFx antipr., sq4 and anisobooster. i testet both drivers. in win xp i get ugly results, in win2000 it looks a bit different: Run All Summary 3dsmax-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 17.31 drv-09 Weighted Geometric Mean = 104.6 dx-08 Weighted Geometric Mean = 90.92 light-06 Weighted Geometric Mean = 18.62 proe-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 23.68 ugs-03 Weighted Geometric Mean = 10.06 compared to bluefirexp´s results it looks ok: 3dsmax-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 23.40 drv-09 Weighted Geometric Mean = 89.18 dx-08 Weighted Geometric Mean = 95.13 light-06 Weighted Geometric Mean = 27.77 proe-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 20.80 ugs-03 Weighted Geometric Mean = 9.102 although some results vary in a way i don´t understand. does anyone have an idea what i could do to get better results in winXP ?
Ok, fixed. I am running a 2 monitor system and in the OpenGL section of the nvidia driver there is the option "multi-display-hardware-acceleration" and it is set by default to "multi device performance mode". when i set it to "single display mode" i get those benchmarks: 3dsmax-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 16.06 drv-09 Weighted Geometric Mean = 106.4 dx-08 Weighted Geometric Mean = 92.32 light-06 Weighted Geometric Mean = 18.31 proe-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 23.79 ugs-03 Weighted Geometric Mean = 10.08 which are most the same as in windows2000. in windows2000 2 monitores are handled by the driver as one with a overall resolution of eg 2560x1024. in xp they are handled as 2 monitores.
