I have read every post . Please Help

I bought a fx5900 .I'am trying to duplicate the results I've seen on this forum. Can't get past the basic patching point, though I can find my way around riva fairly well. I downloaded 45.28 and installed it. My card comes up as QUADRO 3000.
I run antistrap I press continue . I presume that Iam trying to patch the driver . RIVA is looking for mini.sys ?? 45.28 is present in it's own folder with the DOS BAT file but riva cannot find what it wants. Ive selected all files with mini.sys in the name but nothing happens. thanks Paul C

Are you trying to patch installed driver? I assume you do, so it won´t work because of windows file protection system, it will restore system files like drivers if you try to change them. Make a standalone folder with the unpacked driver and patch BEFORE you install the driver, make sure you installed nvstrap before installing driver. If 45.28 doesn´t work read the thread above for other drivers that people used for making it work on Geforce FX. If I remember correct you only need to patch with nvstrap_antiprotection script on 44.xx and 45.xx drivers that were verified for Geforce FX to Quadro FX modification. And yes the target file is nv4_mini.sys or nv4_mini.sy_ .... the last file is a secondary packed file in the driver, I think they tried to confuse people that try to patch single files in the driver with this. However, there is a file called unpackdriver.bat in the Rivatuner release that will unpack these files to if you copy it to the folder and run it.

This patch dont help much for games so dont use it unless u use 3dMax like progs.

I did everything from outside riva tuner. Unpacked manually and put it all in one file. Then I discovered That the file types were (as you mentioned) mini.sy_ . That worked ,everything patched .I,ll post numbers when I get them. Thanks for responding., Paul C
