Help! Old 3dfx Interactive Graphic Card?

I have an old 1999 agp '3dfx Interactive. Inc.' graphic card that I'm planning on installing on my wife's computer. Problem is, I don't have any idea what version of the card it is. I tried the card's FCC number but all that told me was that it was a 3dfx card. Is there software that determines the card's identity so that I can get the proper drivers for it. It is also my understanding that these older cards will only work with older versions of DirectX. Is this true?

Well ...the easy way is let windows detect what it is ... 
If you have a new version of windows like 2k or Xp it will definately detect the card and install some temporary drivers for it ... What OS do you have on your wife s computer ? 
 
There may be a program on the net for it if you have and older OS ..ill take a look <IMG SRC="smileys/wink.gif">

Look at the card it self. 
If it has two big chips then it is a Voodoo1. 
If it has three chips with two of them identical then u have a Voodoo2. 
If it has one chip with a heatsink and somewhere says STB then u have a voodoo3. 
If it has a fan then it is a voodoo4 if there is 1 chip and a voodoo5 if there are 2 chips. 
And if i had a dollar for every "if" i wrote i would be 7$ richer. <IMG SRC="smileys/biggrin.gif">
