Hi,

first of all I would like to wish everyone a happy new year.

Guess I'm a bit late, my second post this year ...
hey better late than never

So what's up everybody ?

Perhaps some CS 1.6 ?

I finally got used to the shield +it's pretty funny to see the whole team runnning around with one

The new Famas ... mAaaaan

it has one pretty cheesy sound effect tho ...

Is 1.6 still beta or is it final?

Yep... beta

I would say that especially Steam still feels very beta ...
although it has really improved a lot already
since the last closed beta.

The interface is rather spartan, but feels like if everything
would be at the right place.
It even looks quite cool if you ask me.

BUT it has these enormous slow downs
(like if the whole app would have been crashed)
at times which might be caused by the bandwith problem ...
Also I get really funny error messages from time to time and sometimes it's nearly impossible to join servers.

CS itself looks good to me, had one lil crash and in airstrip there seem to be some missing textures but that's all I noticed so far.

It's not that bad, but csm is right, it can slow down sometimes.
The new weapons seem nice (especially the famas)
Airstrip is a good map, seems pretty balanced.
Some of us are off to play some 1.6 now, try to find us if you want to join in.

Yep Airstrip and the modified Inferno ...
I've never ever had that much fun with CS I can tell you ...

Don't worry, you can catch us some other time. Hopefully you can get in a few rounds tonight once you get steam and cs1.6 all working.
