    27-inch curved HD gaming monitor.

I'll call it : "Gaming inspiration of curvy pixels"

This is one of those odd articles absent of some basic info.. No real mention of resolution other than the words "Full HD"... Connectivity? IPS, VA, TN????

    *update
Happy to see the article was updated by adding the specs.

Asus can f*** off. They postponed the monitor everyone was waiting for (PG27UQ 4K 144hz Qdot) and gave absolutely no word on a release date for the PG35VQ (3440x1440 curved 200hz Qdot).

It's 2017, 1080p monitors are so 2006. I wish they'd stop flooding the market with more out-dated tech.

I guess that the panel manufacturer couldn't deliver in time.

As for 1080p monitors, if those wouldn't sell in 2017 they simply wouldn't make them, our personal opinion doesn't really matter.
Just take a look at single display resolution on Steams survey:
    1366 x 768 21.53%
    1680 x 1050 3.19%
    1920 x 1080 48.78%
    2560 x 1440 2.16%
    3840 x 2160 0.86%

They have no reason to rush any new tech out. Current tech sells like crazy. They can maximize profits by selling the maximum amount possible, then slowly bring out new tech that obsoletes the one they're selling now.

    It's basic economics.

More like basic annoyance. Been waiting since 2015 for the ROG PG27UQ since they showed it at computex. Talk about dragging their heals.

Compared to similar spec`d Iyama 27" its £100+ for the extra rog light at the bottom, as for the curve....just a waste at that screen size, dont get me wrong....im a fan of Asus but £409 is way too much for a 27" 1080p.
