That name just sounded cool , then we went to ForceWare.
    Now we have Geforce Drivers.
I like the name Geforce too but miss that impact of older naming scheme.

    PEACE

I only remember using DET 22.80 and above.
I think I stayed on 23.11 for a long time.

Yep, remember that, small registry "hack" and sliders for GPU and memory were displayed in driver settings. Can't remember exactly what GeForce card I had backthen when this hidden driver feature was discovered.

P4 yup! With 512mb Kingston RDRAM! First Max Payne was graphically awesome and bullet time was revolutionary as the world was still in awe of the first Matrix movie.

File-size of the early Detonator drivers -> 3 MB

File-size now is closing in on 500 MB :)

    I'll be damned. Even 23.11 was 3MB? http://www.voodoofiles.com/4675

I could have sworn some of these drivers were 23 - 45MB. I did love the early drivers that had the nVidia logo spin in the stars.

I still have some old discs and disks somewhere with a lot of these Detonator XP drivers. Oh and the nForce days, mmm SoundStorm.

Actual driver size now is ~300 MB archived / 350 MB uncompressed. The rest are stuff which wasn't there in early drivers.

They got bigger in the 40.xx branches.

I remember Voodoo2 SLI running FF7 PC, man what a treat that was back then. 3dfx Glide, did some amazing these for games in those days. Then I remember Voodoo 4 with FF8 and then Voodoo5 64 MB AGP.

My voodoo 4 32 MB was PCI I'm almost positive.
