Samsung is embarking on a strange move, they will bring back the Note 7 in the form of a refurbished “Fandom Edition” model, not Founders Edition or Frontier Edition - oh come on easy pun ... Samsung to re-release Note 7 as FE edition
WHAT will happen IF these also catch fire? No, really, what is Samsung going to do then? Of course they can say as much as they wish, that they "fixed" the problem. But what happens if they actually didn't... So, from me - it is a resounding - NO, I won't buy this phone even if it costs $200.
Would i? F no, since theyre calling it the FE. Samsung really needs to get their **** together when it comes to betteries. I personally had my S6 Active's battery pop and swell while i was driving and charging it. There have been plenty of other Samsung phones besides the Note 7 that have battery issues that resulted in fire or damage AND THEY WERENT RECALLED. Someone I know has an S7 Edge thats a few months old and doesnt charge properly at all even with the original charger. Bigly disappointed in Samsung.
I would buy it if all is well and its a good performing device. And curious about battery performance over the previous one after using a smaller battery.
I would change my S7 edge to note 7. A stylus that I could store in my phone would feel like a blessing.
Would you actually use a stylus? The amount of times I've used mines are far and few between, couple times a year and mostly for the note writing program (that I could easily replace with a text note)
It's not using a Samsung battery at all now, and a smaller weaker one at that. No risk this time. And the only way I would ever get another Samsung phone is if I can unlock it and run pure stock Android on it(Aside from the S8, I quite like the design of the UI). But good luck on that with their recent devices.
