Awesome. These fix the issues I had with DOOM when running via the Vulkan API with recent drivers.

    Rejoice!

do these drivers include the normal branch fixes and updates? or are they completely different?

Highly unlikely that these Vulkan drivers include the normal branch fixes and updates, as they are from an entirely separate branch.

382.68 (VK381_66-19) and the previous 382.58 (VK381_66-17) Vulkan drivers are obviously from the same branch, but the 382.53 driver is r382_48-3 which is from an entirely different branch.

    What was that?

Also, have you tried comparing performance between OpenGL and Vulkan? I'm curious about how good Vulkan improves things for PCs with old/slow CPUs.

    Description of the issue.

    FPS comparison.

Mind you I'm very CPU limited due to my ancient Phenom II X4 so I gain a lot of FPS switching to Vulkan. In a GPU limiting scenario OpenGL seems to perform slightly faster as can be seen on the last pair of screenshots.
Then again these obviously aren't representative benchmarks in any way. They were never meant to be. Just to quickly show that Vulkan usually results in higher FPS on my CPU limited rig.

Its so hard to post clickable links? ...

Also reading every new vulkan driver that Doom is fixed now...

And yes, your phenom...nothing to add there. Dont understand people needing a 1050ti but no strong cpu if thye want to game on their pc..

You need to have a certain amount of posts before you can post links.
