Hello, I have an old series 1 vertex 120gb SSD working well that I want to use as boot disk for my brother's gaming rig(no sensitive data.), but its on firmware 1.4 and I would like to update it. Unfortunately since Toshiba acquired OCZ they seem to have wiped every remnant of support for any older SSD series. I've searched for a good while and not found anywhere that hosts the 1.6 & 1.7 firmware. Does anyone have these files stashed somewhere? Thanks.
I can download version 1.7 from here: http://legacy1852.rssing.com/chan-59386472/all_p1.html or here: but the link to the tool to identify/get the number of the drive is not working. [edit] Id tool: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/5340-OCZ-drive-identity-tool.html [edit2] there's also the Arowana update if your drive is compatible https://www.techspot.com/news/47977...grade-for-old-vertex-agility-solid2-ssds.html
Sorry to bring this thread out of the graveyard. I am trying to update the firmware of my OCZ Vertex 60GB 1.6. I can't find anywhere to download the updater. I tried to contact Toshiba, who acquired OCZ. They said no support to this SSD anymore. After a long Google search, I found this thread. But, the download link of Vertex firmware in the RSS archiver is not working. Unfortunately, my SSD is not compatible with Arowana. Anyone has or knows where to find the firmware updater to 1.7?
