Reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to cost a whopping 999 euro. It seems year after year prices keep going upwards, in the end people simply keep buying such expensive smartphone... Galaxy Note 8 will retail for 999 euro
Yeah, the prices of the latest models are just ridiculous. The best way is to buy a last generation flagship model from a retailer. After a year or two it costs like a 1/3 of the latest one and is basically the same or very similar. Plus you alwys know if there are any problems with it.
^^^I had a cheap hua.......hawi.........hawie.........one of those makes of phone for many years, served me well, even though i can't pronounce the name. lol
And thats why phones not made in China continue to rise in price. Ill stick with my S7 Active. Hopefully theyll make a phone in Korea or somewhere other than China that isnt so expensive. I also would also not buy from Huawei, Lenovo or any other big Chinese manufacturer since theyre well known for their backdoors.
Funnily enough "Wah-Way" is basically how you pronounce Huawei These prices are ludicrous, it's times like this I am grateful that I work for a network here in my country. I look forward to being our stores Note 8 master and happily take my free note 8 from Samsung, can't wait for this device!
LOL! You are using S7 and Android, but still talk about backdoors? Should I send you a tinfoil hat? No, really, drop me your address and one will be going your way already on Monday! And don't read below. --------------- Jeez, 1000 Euro for a phone?!? People, this is just a phone. A Phone (a device to call someone else)! Just with several additional features. Are they crazy? I would better buy a heavily used car, if I need one, rather than a phone. Or Huawei for 200 Euro (ok, it was 300 - discount), as I already did.
S7 will be my last Sammy device, nice phones but I want some freedom next, stock Android, maybe the Pixel or something
Gotta agree, I love samsung design, but I really do miss stock android.. hopefully this years pixel is good!
the cost of making all tablets and cells compared to retail the last years has just been nutsz but yes everyone buys it regardless so we are suckers for punishment
Tin makes really poor EMI shielding. Electromagnetic compliance is actually an interesting subject. Youd actually want to use layers of copper and aluminum, depending on what youre shielding. But so is cybersecurity. http://thehackernews.com/2016/11/hacking-android-smartphone.html I intentionally avoid any electronics from China. Managed to avoid China for much of my PC actually. My RAM is even made in USA.
Agreed while the Samsung phones look amazing the price of all these new smartphones are ridiculous. I am now even more happy I upgraded from my s6 edge to the OP3T a few months ago for £336 pretty much grantees I will not be upgrading to anything else anytime soon. The new pixel could be interesting but will be as expensive as the S8 but even then stock android is the most important feature and until Samsung offer this I will never buy another Samsung phone again.
Phones haven't been just about calling someone since more than a decade ago. They are mini-computers now with gps navigational, photographic and many other features. But if you do one that all it does is make and receive calls there are plenty so they ve got you covered.
999 euros ? damn !! even if it was the only phone on the market i will most likely prefer to buy a blanket and communicate with smoke signals or something !
