The hotfix lists only ONE fix for the Prey stutter issue so I would wager that this driver is otherwise identical to the v382.05 WHQL in terms of performance for everything else and that none of the other issues have been addressed/fixed.

Skipping this one as it's only fixing issues for a game that I don't own / play.

You wanted to say - " its quite nice that they actually bother to release a fix so fast ".
While never fixing some Crucial driver issues persistent across several releases now.

it's hotfix, not real driver.

hotfix = fix a fail or a missing in the actual driver (and so can be for a single game)

I wouldn't count on anything to have improved besides Prey. Remember, it's not a real new driver, it's a fix, a patch for the driver if you want to call it that way.

Probably my imagination but these drivers really seem smoother in other aspects ... NV control panel, switching web pages, etc.... I used DDU prior to installing. Possibly they squashed a lingering bug while resolving the Prey issue.

Time Spy

381.89:

Graphics = 6311
CPU = 4925

382.18

Graphics = 6566
CPU = 4758

(Running Deluge & Firefox in the background, might explain lower CPU score).
