Hi, Is there a possibility to keep the display turned "On" when shutting down Windows 10 until the machine is turned off?? I have to look at my system unit power led to see if it has powered down. _________ Same discussion here (No answer) https://social.technet.microsoft.co...tting-down-windows-10?forum=win10itprogeneral
um my display remains on till windows 10 shuts off, all windows going back to xp that i can remeber leave monitor display on till windows is turned off.. It the Windows logo load screen that turns off on me till i in windows, but that is due to have my hdtv conneted
thats odd, i have experienced the same 'feature' (read problem) with every machine that has windows 10 installed on it, from desktops to laptops.
You're probably hibernating the system or entering "sleep" mode, not shutting it down completely. When shutting down, the monitor stays on until the PC is shut down. When hibernating or sleeping, everything is turned off prior to entering hibernation or sleep state. If you press the power button on your PC, I think by default the PC is put to sleep. If you select "Power->Shutdown" in the Start menu instead (or right-click on the Start menu icon and selecting "shutdown" there), will give you a true shutdown.
