No wonder nvidia is already preparing Volta.

    Good to know.

But remember,Vega™ will be fully unleashed after some driver updates. :)

Dont ask me why, butt i have the felling we will see mature driver's for Vega.
A hint may be that 90% of AMD driver ppl are hard at work to give Vega a smooth start.

I hope to be true and I hope Vega will have enough Tmus&Rops to compete with Gtx 1080TI (3584 / 224 / 88).

It will be a really ****ty move if there will be 480/580 and then the vega and nothing in between.

Even if the drivers are a bit immature, the framerate gains from driverupdates have been negligable in the case of RX 480 for example. Or the newer Geforce cards. The performance increases come almost entirely from games being updated to be more compatible with them.

Vega 10 and 11 in between. It should fill the gap.

Yeah well, article above mentions that Vega 11 is for mobile.

So, if it comes out and is priced like 1080ti then I was the fool that I waited and boycotted nvidia as my next GPU choice (because of 3.5gb situation) and should have gotten 1080 and ended my misery of 970@1440. I hope this is not how things will unfold.

Well to late for me, i already ordered an 1070. I would like to help AMD by buying some of their stuff but it´s like we are always on different schedules...

Will we see Vega 11 Desktop products too?

Is a cut-down Vega 10 with ~GTX 1070 performance and price-point even economically feasible? How large is the Vega 10 die? Thanks.

Xbox Scorpio and Polaris does support it so i dont see why Vega would not.

I think it will have TMUs as it is not a part where AMD has been lacking ever. ROPs on other hand. Yeah.

Please bring something to the "anvil" so that it may smash the competition at a serious price point.

Going to be interesting if both companies out their HBM2 standard on their respective GFX cards. Be nice to see some "apples to apples" comparisons going on. Maybe even see which team is proving to be serious about their newest adoptions in tech/where they're going to go in the near future.

Prices are going to be my pivot point as to where I choose to show support this go'round. No more "slamming down that cash" on the most expensive shiny thing these days.....

What card is Nvidia "outing" that has HBM2? I don't even think Volta consumer cards are getting HBM2.

I find it amusing how this nonsense morphed. First it was the scheduler, then it was Async, now apparently Nvidia emulates all of DX12. Pretty soon we're going to find out that Nvidia emulates our reality as well. We're just floating in a giant Nvidia K80 that collapsed into a singularity, all rendered entirely in software.
