Photos (PCB) of the Radeon RX 570 and 580 have leaked onto the web. There even is a GPU-Z screenshot available displaying all specs. As it seems, the Radeon RX 570 will make use if the same PCB as Rad...

Die shrink(possibly) with slightly faster core clocks..
More re-branding just confuses general population..

Also I'm tired of seeing PEG connectors flat in the middle on top of GPU.
    Put it on the side.
Top PEG just ruins those trying to perfect cable management.

So basically a rebrand? maybe a die shrink with a bump of the core clocks. Hopefully vega and big vega will help out AMD's top end line

    What's the Point

I have an MSI RX-480 Gaming X 8G that does 1380/2100 all day long, and never exceeds 70°.

So, what's the point in these cards???

If you want one, find yourself a good deal on a 480, and overclock to the 580 specifications, or more.

    1. Because OEMs (oh and GPU partners too)
    2. PCIe power delivery fix
    3. Possible process refinement(not shrink) which brings yadayada

Top PEG placement has been preferred since before, PEG connectors where they were placed at the end often ran into issues of getting in the way of 2.5/3.5" drive bays. Of course it's not much of a problem with decent cases but have to take into account many PC cases in the mainstream market are midiATX so, placing the connectors at the end would be a limiting factor.

Wasnt there a talk that 580 will be 14nm and have higher clocks?

Yeah basically, the 480s just got an extra 74MHz on the core, nothing on the memory, and an 8 Pin power connector, instead of a 6 Pin, oh, and the 4 replaced with a 5. :p

Nvidias also bringing out their 1060s again to counter, no number change, so will still be 1060s, will just have faster memory, 9gbs instead of 8. :D

Wasn't that just a play with words and was still technically 16nm just using 14nm interlocks. Also base clocks are higher. Still this is a underwhelming development.

Supposedly it's on 14LPP, which is an optimized version of the 14nm they were using for Polaris (RX480).

And the graph in the article shows the higher clock speed.

    1400MHZ or even @ 1450MHz XFX RX 480 doing around 120 W (max) :D
No need to worry about RX 580.

Hmmm, looks like an modestly overclocked Rx 480 at this point. Perhaps these will OC an extra 10% higher then the 400 series and/or be more power efficient?

    New GPU?

"same PCB as Radeon RX 480". This only shows how "new" is this GPU. Just renamed.

I'm salivating all over the thought of having a 570 for myself. My freesync monitor needs this!

And because highly oced 480 uses only 120W max, that's why we have a grand total of zero :D 480 in laptops , with RX 470 being used instead.

The clock increase is so tiny that it's pure comedy. It's still 480 with a different sticker, and that's it. At least my 390 has double the memory compared to 290.

On the PEG front, I would love to see the GPU power connectors shrink significantly sometime. Something like we saw with sata / molex.

Dafaq, it's even worse than 290/390 rebrand.

Because only XFX managed to do this so far. :( Rest of the RX 480 running 150 W or + on stock.

This RX 480 XFX on stock use only 70-100 W. Average is 80 W , what i have seen.

Hilbert should do a comparison with the new RX 580 and XFX GTR RX 480 .

More probable explanation is that you're using GPU-Z to measure your power consumption.
Add some 30-40ish watts for memory interface and fan.
