Hi i'm running 13.9 modded drivers on an old Dell Precision 530 with 1GB HD 4670. Any chance of modded drivers pulling 2560x1440 over the HDMI port? Thanks
Thanks yeah I tried CRU as is... couldn't even work at 1930x1085 @ 60hz.. didn't try 30Hz, but 30Hz didn't work at even 2000x1125... To get 16:9 ... just 2000 divided by 1.7777 = 1125 ... for any res if anyone cares. Thanks so what's the newest driver I can use for AGP HD4670? Crimson edition would be awesome... CCC is ultra lame haha on 13.9 ... Thanks again
CRU is not enough. You need the patcher too to bypass the maximum pixel clock limit: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher You might need a recent HDMI cable too if you get sync issues. Legacy HDMI cables might not be shielded well and interference might screw up the signal.
Thanks so should I use 13.9 legacy FLEM modded for HD 4670 still? The cables I use can run 60hz 4k hdmi on my RX 480... Would be So Nice to hit 2560x1440 on this Dell Precision 530. Dual SL79V 3Ghz Hyper-Threaded Xeon's (4 Threads) 3.5GB memory is max with Risers (6x 512MB + 2x 256MB) SATA PCI : HDD/ SSD? HIS HD 4670 1GB : 800Mhz Core : 940Mhz Memory (6.4GPixel/s : 19.2GTexel/s : 30.1GB/s) (Max Clocks on Under-Volt from 1.25v to 1.20v is more stable) Idle voltage and boot at 0.900v from 1.250v stock/ way less power at idle. Boot clock 200Mhz core 500Mhz memory from 600-700 core / 800 memory.
I ran Pixel Patcher on current 13.9 driver FLEM modded. Still can't use 2560x1440... doesn't show up in resolutions. Added CRU and nothing...? May you please link me to the Asder00 modded atikmdag.sys for 13.9 or Crimson if possible? for 2560x1440 thanks
I had to add my card to the inf if that helps? Thanks Also this is an x86 32bit system so I need x86 drivers for Win7x86 I don't think Asder00 made an x86 win7 driver patcher or modded atikmdag.sys for win7x86 or win vista x86 CL158498 CW158498 [ATI.Mfg.NTx86.6.0] "%AMD9495.1%" = ati2mtag_R7X, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9495&SUBSYS_00281002&REV_00 ; Localizable Strings ; DiskId = "Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Installation DISK (VIDEO)" GraphAdap = "Graphics Adapter" ATI = "Advanced Micro Devices, Inc." DisplayUninstall = "AMD Display Component Uninstall" ATIR300="WDDM (R300)" AMD9495.1 = "ATI Radeon HD 4670 AGP"
Apparently the GPU is limited to 1080p over HDMI so I bought a DVI-D to HDMI cable since only a Dual-Link cable DVI-D can do 2560x1440... So yeah thanks I hope it works haha
