After updating my drivers to 17.1 for Resident Evil 7, I've noticed random fps spikes like this.

I used DDU to completely remove AMD drivers and reverted back to 16.11.
After reverting, my PC continued to have fps spikes on games like CSGO,
Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch. I don't know if this is the right place to ask for help. This problem is annoying me because it also happens when I watch Youtube videos and Movies.

Can you guys help me find a solution to this?

Get LatencyMon (Resplendence). And check which library causes spikes.
But considering that there is loss of audio, it is probably sound card driver.

I will try to install the latest Realtek audio drivers. However, its odd because my PC doesn't have Realtek installed but I remember having it before I updated to windows 10.

Do the Latency Mon thing. Did you change any bios settings or other drivers in between, or using any kind of new internal or external device (even simple USB ones)?

After installing the latest Realtek drivers, I haven't notice any problems while playing games. It looks like it fixed the problem. I did not change any settings. I will keep the Latency program in mind in case the problem comes back.

Thanks for mentioning that it could've been a sound card issue. I got it fixed.
