So, they have that many more pins in basically the same area, AND they have an empty space in the middle? Sheesh.

Where's Marty and Doc? The date on the 3Dmark run is days into the future!:)

Anyhow, I'll throw this out there as a comparison with my 6850K @4.5 specs listed

I'm guessing your 6850K is overclocked. Would be interesting to see how the 1700X performs overclocked, with fast, known memory, and tweaked, considering the price difference.

Yes, that why it says 4.5 ghz so, nobody would have to guess. :)
The Ryzen chip was shown with a 39 multi. So, it is possible to extrapolate relative performance.

May I interpret this as HH having some Ryzen chip(s) in the house that we will be teased with tomorrow? :bounce:

Sorry man, I was thinking of the Dutch HH and not the Hemi.... although I wouldn't mind one of these in my driveway. ;)

    Why did you overclock it?
Make another test and leave it at stock speeds-turbo.

Probably allowed to post some sort of hype video, like a video of the CPU in a running system. That's not been uncommon in the past.

Because it's his daily use system and he didn't want to spend time clocking it down for the sake of one test? :p

I'm not very knowledgable with DDR4, but those timings look very very loose for that speed.

Does anyone here run DDR4, and at what timings/speed ?

    Depends what games.
Few games from 2014-2016 will use more than 4 cores (no threads).

And depends on what site are tested,e.g. Anandtech is based & biased on Intel dark side.
Depends how much Intel will pay some sites to not allow good results from Ryzen. ;)

Stock ? because it was allready confirmed by CanardPC that they was no problem with 4ghz on all cores on ES samples ( not a max oc ).
