I have no idea this stuff is possible in PC then I saw a motherboard
    capable of doing this.

I am not an electrician or something but I totally have no idea how it works.
Does adding up amp charges your mobile device faster? How will it affect your battery in the long run?

My 4 year old laptop has one of these. I think its just a USB3 port that is able to supply more amps. I don't really know because I've never actually used it.

Looking at my motherboard, it has this capability too.

With the S7 charger it is more voltage for fast charge afaik

    9v @ 1.67A
    5v @ 2.0A

I'm assuming the 9v is the fast charge output

It's just a usb port that supplies more amperage.

Not going to harm the battery as it will only draw up to a certain amount.

I have checked its feature and it says...

    "Lightning Charger
The new 2nd-generation BIOSTAR RACING motherboards will be the first to have the new Lightning Charger which helps the battery of enabled devices, including smartphones or tablets, to achieve up to 75% charge in just 30 minutes. It supports QC2.0 (12V/1.5A output), Apple Mode (5V /2.4A) and BC1.2."

I have an Asus Zenfone 5 and might get that motherboard in the future. Is that feature really capable of fast charging or just another marketing strategy?

The phone has to be able to be fast charged too afaik

My fast charger for my S7 wouldn't fast charge my old S5 for example

There is a setting on the phone to enable fast charge

Even with fast charge enabled, it only takes about 15 minutes off a full charge time

Okay now I get it. I could only benefit from this motherboard feature if my phone has a quick charge technology right?

Yes, the port is only going to supply the amount of power your device can take. If your phone doesn't support it, the USB port will act like any other USB port

I checked qualcomm's page to see if my phone supports quick charge 2.0.
Sad my phone is not on this list.

    Fast cable charging:
Charge your battery more quickly. Your device may become hot and explode while using Fast charging. If Fast charging is disabled, standard charging will be used instead.

In my opinion, this motherboard can do it, supports QC2.0 (12V/1.5A output), Apple Mode (5V /2.4A) and BC1.2. why not??

    It can works . . .
