http://www.endoflinemagazine.com/2017/01/enable-amds-radeon-chill-feature-for.html It looks like renaming the .exe and adding it to Crimson seems to make many more games work with Chill. As a proud owner of a quadrobake living in what could only be described as a subtropical climate, I'm grateful.
Does it not cause noticeable stutter for you? Chill to me is just more aggressive powersaving/efficiency and really effects smoothness of gameplay.
Did not work for me with DA:I ...guessing since it goes through a launcher...the origin launcher errors when using this method. From HiAlgo Webpage: (http://www.hialgo.com/TechnologyCHILL.html) "What is it? CHILL is a smart framerate limiter that saves power and increases battery gaming time, while not detracting from the gaming experience. As a bonus, CHILL decreases overheating of CPU and GPU and thus prevents performance loss during the game."
Truth be told, this method is quite cruel. My guess is that a similar effect could be used with RadeonPro's "AA profile" feature, if RadeonPro is run as admin. Unless the driver is too smart to realize it. Since there is a crack for DAI outside, have you tried using the cracked .exe and see if it works?
my own (simple) program to save power solely based on user input only for newer cards that support overdrive 7 / next http://www36.zippyshare.com/v/m8d7hc5H/file.html if user input set powerlimit to 0% else -50% should work with most games
Huh. This is really interesting but it doesn't really adjust frame rate, just power targets. Are you actually using it? How does it behave? Chill is really smooth for me.
yes used the program well over a year but yeah its really simple in that it only sets powerlimit according to user activity (no concept of frame rates etc...) also my program has no performance penalty while user activity (very important to me) so radeon chill is (way) more advanced, but with it (probably) comes small overhead and incompatibility (or what is the reason for only supporting so few games?)
Chill is still in its infancy, so there is improvement to be had with it. I think the concept is good, it just requires tweaking over time. Eventually it will probably be available as a global setting, but the ability to have own game settings as well, like any other setting. I guess it probably works best in conjunction with Freesync, or even better the new Freesync 2 (no monitors exist for this yet).
You got so called Speedex companies witch ship into other countries from America. It will cost 29USD, you can THX to that Buy GPU from NewEGG or similar store in US and ship to any country on the Globe Google it It is the same, like to have a friend in America :book: Im From Europe so here we have Shops like: https://www.caseking.de http://www.mindfactory.de
There are a lot of risks about that Onna. I don't want a Fury now. I will probably end up with a Vega, and since I'm at 1080p, I intend to keep it as long as my Quadrobake (without the oven part).
