    Just remember that there is no need to buy this one if you already have the first Nvidia Shield TV unless you want to control things in your house.

    will the update also include the HDR output support? that's the only thing i'm not really sure about...

    HDR is already supported on Netflix. The update brings the Amazon Video app which also has HDR shows and Youtube I think. As for the Smart Things Hub, I think both the old and new console are getting that update and it's out for neither yet - same as google assistant. I don't think the old controller/remote support always listening though.

    hdr amazon on new one. the grand tour hdr is stunning. I've ordered one.
