Not necessarily, I had the very same set-up as yours 4790k + Gtx 780 I am still able to play every game in my steam library and we have well over 100+ games in steam. If I were looking to upgrade right now...... 1) Nvidia Gtx 980 Ti possibly in Sli 2) Nvidia Gtx 980 sli 3) If money were no issue -Gtx 1080 sc EVGA Seems like 2 x Gtx 980 is on par with Gtx 1080 (single card) thats damm impressive if you ask me. Kakvo stava? I use to live in (Plovdiv) my brother, How are things in Bulgaria currently? My name is Nick glad to have a fellow Bulgarian on here,Also have another crazy Serbian friend on here.
It's working perfect But something inside want's to upgrade but not 1080(too expensive right now). Want to hear what you think for example if a buy 1060, would there be too much difference? Cheers
As i was searching over the net for offers i realized that 1070 is the least powerfull card to buy so that i can see real difference but don't want to spend that much money on video right now that's why i look for 1060, or maybe i should just wait little longer
JordanMihailov if you can afford a 1070 definately go for it.I upgraded from 970 which i'd say is on par(or a little bit faster) with your 780 and the improvemnt was quite dramatic.I'm very satisfied with the performance of the 1070 unfortunately I can understand why you hesitate given the fact how much those cost here in BG(I'm assuming you are from Bulgaria)I got mine for 1250BGN which is around 680USD and thats pretty steep.
I came from a 780 (not ti) to the 1070 and it was a yuge upgrade. 1060 6GB is also a pretty good card.
i can get 1070 for around 900BGN~500$, wich i think is a little much considering it's nearly 100$ cheaper in USA for example. Still wandering to be honest ( that wandering is present since 1080 and 1070 release ). On the other hand there is vega coming and 1080 ti and still want to see what is going to happen with the market when there cards appear p.s. Yes i am from Bulgaria.
Very nice ,me too, my name is Angel and I live in Veliko Tarnovo. Back on topic, yes you have a point, the comming of the 1080ti and VEGA could force the price of the 1080 and 1070 down.As for the 1080ti I'm pretty sure that they also will be quite expensive, maybe the AMD counterpart will be a little bit more affordable but still expensive. Yeah if you are not in a hury you better wait and see how things will turn out then you'll have more solid ground to base your decision on. Priqtna vecher
