So weirds thing I have had my pc do is this. It reset, the moment my hopper 3 did and it isnt even in the same room. I know cause my stereo was on, which is connected to 4k Joey which connect to Hopper3, Stereo was playing one of the SirusXM channels. The Moment the hopper3 reset the 4k joey lost connection and the stereo went silent and pc reset. how something reseting in another room, 30 feet away reset pc at same time is crazy to think of I have had my Stereo reset my pc one other time too, though I cant see how the Satalites are all shield the speaker while they might be near the power cord for the PSU are heavy duty think gauge speakers wire talking 14 gauge here. What is weirdest thing you had your pc do?
Something keeps loudly beeping randomly inside my PC case for 5 years now. And at this stage I am afraid to know what is it.
I woke up yesterday turned my PC on and some wierd fan noise was coming from it. I realized top fan in my Haf 912 was acting strange so i hited slightly top of the case (dumb i know) and my screen got black but PC was still running (wtf). After the hard restart everything was working fine again.
I once had the nvidia drivers corrupt my laptop displays edid one day, artifacts on the bios screen were not amusing.
Had to manually install AMD PCI Bus drivers on a intel board whe running Windows 7 Pro to get windows to recognize my two 7970's card. Even AMD's Ray Manzies was puzzled by the problem, could not make any sense of it. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate and everything was fine.. Absolutely the wierdest computer problem i've ever come across. Edit: Would like to add that the computer was acting super wierd when i had AMD PCI bus drivers installed on Intel hardware..
Mine seems to be a time machine, I turn it on at 9am, I get up for a drink 10 minutes later, glance at the clock, and it's 4pm
Just coffee/pop lol (unfortunately) Yea, time seems to disappear, especially if I'm gaming GearVR does it too, put the headset on in daylight, go through a few games, take it off and it's dark outside, although this time of year that's not difficult when it gets dark at 4pm
Yea happens to me too, I put on the coffee maker and go to my PC thinking I'll fetch a cup once it's done. 4 hours later I'm startled by a smell of something burning...
lol yep, I have one of those wind up oven timers on the oven, I have to use it for anything that will overflow, burn or explode, if I sit at the PC even just for the 30 seconds it takes for the microwave to finish, I don't even hear the ding
Computers do the strangest things, yet we need them., maybe there really is such thing as computer gnomes
my windows start sound is choppy, and interrupted when powering/logging into PC, and doesn't play to full effect.
Yea I'm fairly sure it's the notification sound you're hearing, caused by a program running at startup. Had the same experience if I had Ai Tuner autorunning at startup, that created a notification and the sound was always distorted and choppy (as the system was still loading things I take).
My PC has this weird bug where it runs flawlessly for years on end, denying me the pleasure of dealing with guru issues. I can't even get a simple driver bug, it's so unfair!
