What's a good program that syncs a hard drive with a backup hard drive? Something that only copies over new files, files that have been changed and deletes files that have been deleted? That certainly sounds better than just copying the whole drive over every time I back up.
I use syncback since ages. Works well. I have scheduled tasks that wake up computer at one o'clock then computer goes back to sleep. Simple & neat.
This feature is called incremental backup and most of modern backup software supports it. Easeus, Macrium, Paragon, Acronis are companies with decent backup/restore products.
I've used both Acronis and Macrium software for the past 6 years or so and both have worked just fine. Haven't bought a new Acronis in 3 years since the old one does what I need it to do. Lastly, I've been blessed by the computer gods to only need a backup once in the last 6 years and it was recovered super easily via an Acronis rescue boot disk. Haven't ever restored a backup via Macrium software so I can't speak to that yet.
