Well they got Battlefront II coming in 2017 so that is kind of a BF game, just with different skins.

Not a bad thing. Take some years off and come back with a bang.

Good, they shouldn't release a new game every year.

I really hope their next Battlefield is Battlefield Two focused on WW2 done on the FrostBite 4 engine using all they learned from Battlefield 1 and Battlefront 2.

Yes, they have the same engine and both start with "Battle".

They never learn. BF1 is a good game, but look at all the UI, server rental issues. Not to mention what they did with HC. Mixed bag with EA/DICE. I'm sure they will feel the need to reinvent the wheel with BF/whatever in a few years.

Won't even mention medals, battlepacks, and crappy dog tags. I don't think
BF1 will have the legs BF3/4 did because of these issues.

As for Battlefront, PC player base died off in two months, doubt I'll buy Battlefront II. I predict a Titan Fall II type of event. Those burned by SWBF 1 will not buy 2.

How about a good old-fashioned new game for a change? Remember those? They used to be pretty popular a while back.

Sure... instead DLC's / Expansions that cost as much as the game every 6 months or so.

I wonder if it is the answer for the BF1 "too short story" and now they will make a proper BF game in 2-3 years timeframe

i think gamers understand there getting cheated out of money by companys like EA on these yearly copy and paste jobs and stop pre order and buying games there tired of broken oversized 60gb games with endless patches to try fix it, and the biggest scam they make a game cut half of it out then sell it as dlc and micro transactions so they basically selling one game twice making double the money it never used be like that in ps2 and xbox days you got the game then the extra costumes and weapons for beating the game , then you have games infested with drm and online activation checks and security which are over the top and makes the experience boring and tedius , it takes the fun out of games

    Cared enough to post.

As for the decision, sounds great! I can't imagine the pressure on the teams to publish games annually. It can only mean good things for future games.

Good, ever since BF2/2142/bc2 battlefield has just been a shadow of its former glory. Bf3/hardline/bf4/bf1 are all scaled down and dumbed down for the masses offering less complexity and a more limited sandbox play experience.

EA is great at ruining once epic game series, bf is just one of them.

They wont. Take a look at squad instead and the mass of mods comming out of their SDK, they are making a whole new standard for what a good FPS should be like.:)
