Their Facebook, Twitter and website have this pic. Remastered RDR or new game? Could be for PC?:nerd:
Since big rumors have been pointing to a sequel... that's probably were it will be. But, without either of the previous Red Dead titles coming to PC, I would actually be a bit annoyed if a third one did. Sorry, but I don't like the HALO/Gears of War style of PC treatment. "Here's this game, oh you want the others? Tough."
Well, I didn't really like Redemption that much when I played it on 360 either. Really did not see what everyone liked about it. But, I also have a few friends that really enjoyed Revolver. So... who knows. But, my point is still valid. I just dislike the practice of only releasing one or two entries of a series on a platform. If you're going to support a platform, either do it completely or don't bother.
I hope it will be announced. hope they will also keep the poker and add more stuff. GTA was empty when it comes to that, it had a casino but it was empty. I found the story of RDR1 way more interesting then GTA . Im pretty sure they will set new standards when it comes to sandbox games. Rockstar always does. For nostalgia's sake, the trailer of RDR1 In any way , im ready to lasso some women again yeeehaaa
R* would be mad not to release a new Red Dead game for the PC after the demand for RDR. Loved RDR, it was everything to me that GTA4 wasn't.
I know a guy who worked for rockstar, the game he was working on WAS a read dead sequel. He also said the game had a PBR Rendering Pipeline. So we are getting a massive upgrade from GTA V tech. The map leak looked legit as well. From what he said the game has very high res assets, even small props.
I'm sure they'll release for the PC, I still didn't play RDR because PC Master RACE never use consoles and their sucks gamepads..
I've been hoping for a pc release for years. This game and the Uncharted series is what made me cave and buy a ps3 way back then.
Never played nor seen any of this game before. Tell me what I'm missing, and what could potentially be as a PC title?
Red Dead Redemption, which I played on Xbox 360, is my favourite game of the last gen consoles by far. I absolutely loved every second of it even though I would not say that I am a big fan of westerns in general (although I have enjoyed movies like Unforgiven and 3:10 to Yuma for example). It was the setting, story and writing that made the game so memorable though; while it followed the GTA template in terms of mission structure, it felt different enough to stand on its own two feet and not feel like a mee-too game with horses replacing cars. I thought it was a much better game than GTA IV for example and could not stop playing it until I'd finished the storyline, something I have not yet done in any GTA game (I usual tire of the gameplay long before I get to that point). I hope that Rockstar release a remastered Red Dead Redemption on PS4, Xbox One and PC, like they did with GTA V, before they release the sequel though. However, the Xbox One can already run RDR via 360 emulation and from what I've played of it better than on the original console so they make not think it worthwhile. They could even include a remastered game with the sequel if they were really generous (and sell it as standalone for a reduced price); that would be awesome.
Red Dead Redemption is one of my all time favourite games, can't wait for the third one. Wish people would stop saying "Red Dead Redemption 2" kicks in some kind of OCD/pedantic rage in me for some weird reason!
