Will they even be relevant in the PC world in 10 years? I personally only bought XFX cards because they had great customer support, willingness to exchange/replace cards immediately and provided premium products. When XFX made the switch to ATI, I made the switch to nVidia and never looked back. I did use AMD processors until last year when I got the new i7 Skylake 6700k. I honestly don't see any reason why anyone would buy ATI products for PC anymore. I've read numerous reviews, i've done my own research into performance based price-points and cannot see light at the end of the tunnel for ATI/AMD, specifically PC gaming. I know they are making gains in other avenues, but to me they seem very undesirable to a PC gamer. Thoughts?
Currently AMD has issues but there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Right now NVIDIA has some rather sweet products out there and I don't think they can match them in close future (NVIDIA has crazy power efficiency lead). Zen is showing promise and Zen based APUs and CPUs in 2017 should be rather interesting. I think their future looks promising unless Zen totally flops.
Are you trying to start flame war or fanboy wars, come on man,if you are really want start something like this, please try reddit,I'm sure they will appreciate yours thread Thanks,Jura
Ofcourse pc has always bin the front runner unlike consoles.... Ontopic i sure hope AMD zen delivers they truly deserve it and i hope they can make a comeback and their gpu's aren't bad at all.I used a couple of amd 7870 in crossfire a few years back and 6970's i didn't have much trouble with crossfire or their drivers. Can't say how their drivers are now.
Unless you have a working crystal ball, there's no way to tell where AMD will be in 10 years. They may be at the top by then, they may stay about where they are which isn't bad, or they may die. There's no way to know. Intel and Nvidia may topple. Anything can happen. Ten years is an eternity in the computer world.
