    I am in the U.S.

Where in the heck can you buy an RX480? The only 2 places I normally buy stuff from (Amazon and NewEgg) are sold out or there is a 25%+ increase on the price. I see Overclockers has them in stock (by the bunches it would appear) but I assume they are UK only or that the shipping is not economically feasible.

Not sure where else to look to be honest.

    Any input is much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Have you tried Best Buy. I picked up a 1070 superclocked from them the other day and they had FE 1080's and 1070's. Didn't look for a 480 but they might have some.

Just checked Tiger Direct and they are out of stock.

Yea Nvidia stuff is available just not AMD it would seem. Heck 1060 AIB are out already and you cannot even get a AMD rx480 reference.

AMD might have hosed up that release.

Availability of any 480 has been non-existent here in the states.

If you have one close check in store the web site doesn't even list the card I bought from them.

I've heard of them claiming they have cards and when you order the card you are then told they are on backorder.

I saw photos of RX 480 AIB cards a month before release. Here we are almost a month out from reference release and nada. Maybe it is like the first Fiji and low yields affecting supply.

I do find all the 1060's for sale kinda funny. Maybe no one is buying them.

Aren't these temps high, for the kind of cooler this card seems to be carrying? Is that the default voltage? Sure the core/mem won't go higher?

It will go higher but with the reference cooler that is the best I can get with out the fan being higher than comfort.

the stock fan sucks seriously just a metal hunk of crap surrounded by plastic...

I'm going to upgrade to water cooling which will keep temps down.

max so far on stock cooler is 1365/2200 100% fan 5000+rpm!!!! but I need water to do better.

the fan on the asus blows air out back of case and not inside I don't care how hot it gets as long as it does not throttle.

    stock is 1266/2000 1150v

using vsync will keep your temps down if you go for full fps it gets hot

77% fan keeps it at 79c under all tests and gaming but that is only needed if vsync is off.

This is the reason I dont have a ********* RX 480 yet. No where to buy them.

Tennessee dont have Microcenter, or frys electronics. And the closet best buy is 30 mins away in a rich area and they charge stupid prices.
2 years ago, they wanted $350 for a GTX 660.
    A GTX 780 was $750.

The deal is that the 480 could be 10x better than the 1060. But it does not matter because you can't buy one.

I see the 1060's are hard to find too but with all the AIBs out (and continuing to come out) not only can you get one now I suspect soon it will be easy to get one. For AMD no reference to be had and no AIBs to be had either.

Again, you can have the most superior product on the planet, but if you do not have any to sell it does not matter.

And with those prices all screwed up as well, it does not matter.
When I called they went off the newegg price of a 3rd party seller(OutletPC) since it was the only one in stock and was $409!!!!

But even then the Best Buy did not have any RX 480s 2 days ago when I got back from vacation. Id be happy with a reference 4GB 480 as I have a H55 style AIO and a G10 Kraken I can slap on it to make it quiet.

Honestly, I am just frustrated and pissed off with the way GPU launches have been lately.

And still severe product segmentation. Why cant I have just have Freesync with both sides. Or a simple cheap gsync setup with both sides of the gpu market.

I dont want to have a 4th R9 290 just to get back to a good level of performance and to have freesync back.
