Do we really need a new thread for this? You couldn't just post it in the other one? Anyway yeah, it's good for AMD. Fury X finally starting to look like an 8.4 tflop card.
Why does it matter? It falls under the topic. There are like dozens of reviews, we don't need a new thread for each review. Can you imagine if people started frontpage news threads for every single game review for each site?
You mean the driver CPU over head Look at the resolution and how the gains tank at 4K. You also mean the lack of async on nVIDIA's side? Don't worry that's coming in a driver soon(tm).
It's the same engine as Heroes of the Storm, so there are big changes it might finally happen. Blizzard tends to be very conservative with new APIs.
Overwatch engine is great, sc2 engine is crap it is a modified WC3 engine, which sucks in today standards, they seriously need a low level API.
well have to say that bench looks about right to me. my fury x on ultra everything and 8x txaa AA gets between 100 and 130 fps @1600p what I love is the rx 480 stock nipping at the 1070's heels, if invadier do not come up with a good driver I'm pretty sure peoples heads will explode....and I will laugh and laugh but really....just goes to show how much better newer architecture is at scaling with newer apis
We'll see if it's a driver issue or not. My belief is that the NVIDIA driver is actually top notch. At this moment they also seem to have DPC latency issues with the Pascal parts, so any optimization will probably take a bit more than usual, even if it's possible.
It's a strange issue. Some sites show NVidia getting faster results with Vulkan, not slower like this site. My own 980Ti is a hell of a lot faster in Vulkan than OpenGL for some reason.
