I've been using one of my Xbox One controllers on my PC for a while via micro USB. I only have a single long enough cable and I decided I want to reduce the clutter so I ordered a wireless adapter from Amazon. I plugged it in using the USB extension that comes with it and sync'd a controller to it. All working fine. Then I tried to add a second controller and through the control panel I got an error with it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cwa06gj48c8zpfr/2016-06-24 18.02.02.jpg?dl=0 I tried in a few games - Street Fighter V, Blaz Blue etc and it still didn't work. The same controllers work via micro USB and if I connect the controllers in a different order then it's always the second controller that doesn't work. I had the Xbox Accessories app installed and both controllers are detected and can be made to vibrate. Both controllers are using the latest firmware according to the app and my Xbox One. Interestingly with Forza 6 Apex, a UWP app, the second controller actually works. Is there an older driver or some update that can fix the second controller to work with everything else?
Asus' software has been a great source of instability and headache for me. Avoid installing them as much as possible. For best results with your controllers, install the xbox accessories app and update their firmware too.
I had some neat features like the fan calibration stuff. Messing with USB devices like that is pretty dodgy though. I was beginning to think it was a faulty device. I do have the app and the firmware is up to date, cheers.
