Those are some serious speeds! I barely can tell(if at all) the difference with my 950 Pro over an SSD.
The Samsung 950 Pro 512GB is $320 on NewEgg. Don't you mean the SM961 512GB version will cost less than the Samsung 950 Pro 512GB, not the 1 TB version?
Seems like a really good price for the performance. Will be buying something like this next year when I upgrade my system
I've been waiting for the M.2 950 pro 1TB for a long time...I had hoped it would be out by now. I have the 512gb one but I keep having to uninstall game for new ones. Even sata 3 ssds aren't fast enough for modern games imo and I don't want to go backwards in load times.
It's an oem product what did you expect? Samsung doesn't provide warranty directly to you. Ramcity decides the years of warranty.
Not badly priced imo, 1tb on a m.2 drive is pretty awesome and the speeds are crazy! gotta preorder one! Shame it's green, but a black heatsink can cover that up nicely.
I added some heatsinks attached to the chips on this drive, and when benching the drive for a long period of time, it didnt pass 52c(ambient temp is 21c) with just normal airflow in the case. So doesn't seem to be much of a problem.
My 961nvme's is about 35c while benching. Good airflow in Ld cooling V8 No throtteling with my sm951 nvme. The "issue" is with no airflow and writing 300GB stright.
