Bump! The game's out and looking good, also made by same team that made Layers of Fear. Rutger Hauer voices the main character which, too, is a great throwback to Blade Runner. This game went completely under my radar until now, pretty much a must buy for me. http://store.steampowered.com/app/514900/observer/
Bought, you get 20 % off if you already own Layers of Fear! Gonna try it out over the weekend. I've now a few atmospheric / adventure games to try out (this, Infra, Kona, The Solus Project).
I like it with the exception of the main characters voice. It sounds so out of place compared to everyone else I've encountered so far and just sounds so weird. It's sounds like Mickey Rourke with a terrible Russian accent.
discovered this game yesterday, considering a buy Love those cyberpunk setup and the environment seems really polished.
Haven't played the game yet but from what I understand they got the voice work of Rutger Hauer. Roy Batty, from Bladerunner. Lav-arre from Ladyhawke. And a heck of a lot more. [ok, wtf urls banned? Why would you do this? Absolutely senseless -- www. imdb .com/name/nm0000442/] The guy is a ****ing legend. The lines in Bladerunner where he says 'All those moments will be lost, in time, like tears in rain.' he improvised, and Ridley Scott kept it. I know this, because I met him once For all you millennial babies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoAzpa1x7jU
Wait?! He improvised those lines?! No way! Ok, the guy is a legend ! edit: checked, he didn't improvised but actually wrote them the morning of the shoot, Ridley Scott loved it and it replaced a 200words monologue lol. It's wonderful, love this guy!
I cant believe the visuals on ps4 pro. Amazing. Game is awesome in every aspect. Cyberpunk is it? Man i need more games in cyberpunk theme. How? Which?
Just bought it. I'm making a Cyberpunk multiplayer game in Unreal Engine 4, this is must buy, it looks gorgeous.
Soma is pretty similar, more linear than this though Also has enemies that can kill you (this has some but they're rare and very easily avoided), you can turn off the attacking with a cheat if you'd like. I did, makes the game more story focused but still creepy This has what looks like optional missions and is a bit more free roaming inside the apartment complex
I got the gog version so far enjoying it but i'm thinking this game would be suited to VR and something odd everytime I load the game up the Oculus store app loads up so I'm thinking maybe they had VR support in mind from the beginning and they disabled it (not very well), but yeah hopefully there's a patch or something to get VR mode working again. either way really enjoying the game, nice visuals and the atmospheres great.
Played for about 4 hours so far, definitely interesting and not like usual games. Like the detective side of gameplay. The dreameater sequences imo are way too long though, not to mention the visuals induce nausea
