Certainly an interesting change in direction for EA sports games. I guess we'll know much more on June 12th at the EA Play conference.

I wonder if there will be a event:
team cannot get on match, there wasn't enough fuel for bus
    or
opossiting team was bombed by unknown european(haha) terrorist group, so you got walkower!

I do hope this is for the better. The change for that golf game was not that good from what i read.

    as of football gaming terms:
PES has the upper hand on fifa in the engine department, animations, fifa is showing its age, PES has the better animations on the pitch more lifelike, fifa needed a change of engine and an upgrade indeed.

Yeah! The Ignite Engine seemed extremely limited when it came to animations and player liknesses. Hopefully the Frostbite 3 is just what FIFA needs to breathe new life into it.

So I guess, similar to when Ignite Engine was implemented, this year's PC version won't be using the frostbite?

Hope they really push the visuals on it runs maxed out on really weak hardware and if you do have a decent PC there's nothing you can do to embrace the power.

Also hope they make significant improvements to career mode, it's the only mode I play, zero interest in online/FUT.

Nice ! Can't wait to see gameplay. Although i'm skeptical we'll see gameplay at e3.

There's a gameplay video coming out on the 12th June apparently during EA's own conference "EAPlay", although EA's idea gameplay is always different from mine as theirs is always a bunch of ingame cutscenes and footage at close up angles you never actually play at.

You mean facial animations or the actual player?

Some may disagree but FIFA has been a more complete package,IMO! PES has always felt half finished in terms of content, presentation and matchday atmosphere. PES always feels too easy to defend and score goals. Granted, FIFA gameplay lacks player ID but hopefully the Frostbite engine will bring improved visuals, gameplay and physics.

Personally don't care about graphics, but gameplay and physics. That's why i still play Fifa 13 even though 15 and 16 are better at graphics, they are worse at the other two imo.

I hope for better randomly generated players and for better customization when making one. The current ones look way too like blobs from oblivion. Frostbite should fix a lot of issues regarding a lot of things tbh.
