I didn't install the Nvidia GPU experience ,
Only Driver, 3D Vision drivers, Physx.

    I have

Nvidia Backend in C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\Update Core
Conhost - is missing non exist but is in the autostart
    WLMerger Applications C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Update Core

Anyone knows what to do with it ?

Could it possibly come from the 3DTV Nvidia software that comes alone ?

Just remove entry from autostart items.

I know, but I want to know cause it could do me issues with the 3DTV and I hate to reinstall this software, it always has problems with activation.

^ leftover from an old driver would be my guess.

Its not leftover, its something they added recently, and they dont want to tell us WHY. U can install only the driver if u want. Just go into C/NVIDIA, and delete everything except, Display.Driver NVI2, and the other 5 files, that are NOT in a folder (eula, license, setup. exe listdevices setup.cfg). And it will install only the driver, in a pure form.

    From tweakguides.com

Nvidia Backend (NvBackend.exe): This startup item is typically related to the game optimization and update functionality in GeForce Experience, but in more recent GeForce drivers may be installed even if you don't install GeForce Experience. If you don't use the game optimization or driver update notification features, it can be disabled with no negative impact.

I know what is. Problem is why nvidia added this chunk from geforce experience into the drivers, by default, and keeps adding it. Its obvious that nvidia backend doesn't do anything without geforce experience installed, so....

I was under the impression that if all you install is the graphics driver and physx it shouldn't even start the backend process unless you have automatic updates enabled or you manually check for an update.

I have auto update disabled and I have never seen the backend process get started.

I strictly only install driver and physx. This is not in my startup. Using 361.91.

  13. Same here. It probably installs along with 3dvision. Regardless, this is not an issue in the least unless you're not very savvy with how your own Windows operates.

Are you on Win10? I've installed only driver and audio driver last time and it still installs.

Unpack the driver and delete the update backend folder

Doesn't harm to have it installed and if you don't use the game optimization or driver update notification features it can be disabled with no negative impact.
