Main article here >> http://80.lv/articles/landscape-auto-material-easy-natural-environments-creation/ looks pretty awesome
Have it installed. Played it several times, not a fan. Graphics looked watered down, understandably since it's meant to be fast paced. Just don't think that game does a good job of showing off the engines visual muscle. It's more than obvious developers aren't buying into ue4 the way they were ue3. I just wonder why.
To be fair the engine hasn't been out long enough for developers to be ready to release a new game, unless it's an indie.
Played UT too, and while the graphics had their strong moments (mostly interior in UT), I felt it was nice, but could do more. Still looks impressing.
I guess it hasn't been around long enough, or not many developers need it right now (dx11 runs fine on UE3+++++++ as it looks).
Seems quite odd since UE3 was the whore of engines. The only news I've seen on UE4 is when people recreate environments from old games. I believe Dead Island 2 is using it and that is the only mainstream title I've heard of that is. *That's right, Dead Island 2 is vaporware.
