Greetings tennis guru's! I wonder if anyone could offer some opinions on string choices for a Yonex racquet of mine. To start, I generate a lot of my own power and am somewhat of a "flat" hitter that doesn't put a whole lot of spin on the ball. That being said, how do you guys/gals feel about using a full bed of poly vs a hybrid poly/multi? I prefer 17ga strings, but cannot decide if a full bed of poly (like Genesis Black Magic) or a hybrid of that with something like Volkl Power Fiber II or Genesis Xplosion might be a better way to go. I know a full bed of co-poly is a bit more "stiff" and offers more control vs power and that a multi hybrid would offer a bit more power and comfort. Just was curious some opinions on this topic. What do you use and recommend? any thoughts on the subject? I may not get many responses to this thread, but I figured its worth a shot and someone here has to play tennis lol :infinity::infinity::infinity:
Personally, and i started playing a year or so ago, i use Babolat Pro Hurricane. Since i´ma a recent player without lessons, i needed a string that was more comfortable and allowed more control and precision. Since i have only tried two types of strings i´m not he best adviser
I am also still seeking my perfect racquet. I have discovered I love Yonex racquets, so I have been trying some different ones of those. I'd like to find one with a 100sq inch head that is more on the head light side of things. Like not just 3 or 4 points, but more like 6 or 7. I've never tried natural gut. They're just too expensive for me to start using, so I've been looking at multi-filaments that are supposed to mimic the feel of a nat gut
