Hi Guys I recently bought a bunch of Bluerays to watch on my Asus N550JV while moving and well i discovered Both windows Media Player and VLC won't play the files. In the mean i had to resort to ripping them to watch the Blurays. Does anyone know of any free or reasonable priced bits of software i can get so i can watch these Dam Blurays seasons i bought.
Give this a read, the OP lists a decent solution. https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/32xi3h/the_best_100_free_bluray_player_program_i_have/
Cheers Darkest i'l give that a go now and see how it works. I tried Powerdvd but had no end of issues with it. I was actually pretty surprised since the other software i own from them is fairly flawless especially PowerDirector and this is coming from a guy that works in 3D Animation & Editorial.
PowerDvD seems to be problematic for many trying to play Blu-ray, which is a shame as it isn't exactly cheap. Let us know how you get on with Lea.wo (The program name seems to be on Guru's block list for some reason), and good luck!
That was a problem for me and very surprising. There other software is flawless and great for the price but Powerdvd seems far to expensive for what it is and the issues it has. lea.wo Bluray Player worked pretty well and you can even use the Menu's. Not sure if its the drive in my laptop but seeking is a little slow about 5 seconds but oh well. Just happy i can watch this Bluray Box set of Battlestar Galactica Cheers again for the help i owe you a cold Beer
No problem. Enjoy Battlestar, great show! Although I must admit I preferred Caprica. Fury Road is badass also, easily the best action movie I've seen in years.
I'm using media player classic, although I had to update some sort of strange library to be able to play the blurays, without menus though.
I know this has been answered but Kodi (formerly XBMC) can play blu-ray....and it's free. www.kodi.tv
Do they all play Bluray menus? Not that they are usually that good, but I'd see the sense in them if a program handles them easily.
I tried Potplayer and it doesn't support Bluerays out of the 30-40 i have now. Seems everyone suggests it when i looked but it never did for me sadly.
