The demo is only 4 days away so I thought we better have somewhere to discuss it, as well as the full game when it arrives in only 2 short weeks! The Nathan Drake Collection is definitely one of the games I bought a PS4 for, so I'm getting more and more hyped by the day.
The first one had a bit of screen tearing, welcoming 1080p 60fps had to buy the first one on import as it wasn't out in the UK.
Same here, I was in the same situation with The Last of Us as well and I loved that game so much so I'm hoping for similar with the Uncharted series. I'm hoping by release they get the frame rate to 60 locked, the last build tested was dropping to the low 50s during combat which isn't ideal. Access to the Uncharted. 4 multiplayer beta is also very welcome as they've removed multiplayer from the collection, I was surprised how good The Last of Us multiplayer was, apart from the OP DLC weapons (dat shotgun).
There not as dark and violent in the sense of horror more tongue and cheek with a bit of cheesy dialogue also more puzzles and exploring although it is linear like searching for treasures ect.
Ive played the last of us but only around 10% of the game. Im definitely going to go back too it. Im playing more on my PS4 than i do on my PC atm.
Looking forward to the demo. I'll be buying this. The second game was amazing. Look forward to playing it with better textures and 60fps. Normally I hate these remakes. But this series is too good for me to pass up.
Ordered it from Amazon, how are they for pre-orders? Am I looking at release day guaranteed or possibly a little early?

Digital Foundry: Hands-on with Uncharted: the Nathan Drake Collection http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/d...on-with-uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection Good stuff
Good post, I love their tech videos as I'm extremely anal when it comes to performance, I really notice dips way more than most people (wish I didn't). It looks like we'll be seeing 60fps locked most of the time, with certain areas/effects causing dips into the low 50s which isn't good, but this analyse was done without the day one patch which is said to improve performance so fingers crossed. Overall Bluepoint have done a fantastic job and have gone above and beyond a simple remaster.
I am so getting this because I want the games for PS4 and to play them again at 1080p 60fps even though they looked great at 720p 30fps on the PS3.
The demo is live in most places, including the UK. I have just ran through it a few times and I really enjoyed my first experience with the series and I will definitely be keeping my pre-order. Visually they've done a really good job, you can only do so much with such an old game but they really have put their full effort into it and it shows. Performance was good most of the time, but it definitely chugged a couple of times, most notably when the helicopter is shooting you whilst you're inside, admittedly I am sensitive to drops so console vets may not even notice as the drops weren't severe. Hopefully the day one patch will address these little bumps in the road anyway.
