So after reading the Guru3D review of this keyboard and seeing the video of what this keyboard could do I decided to purchase one as the red back lighting would fit very nicely with the look of my rig. Only issue though is the CUE software, this software is key to making everything on the keyboard work from the lighting effects to the macros to the media functions. The specific issue being that the CUE software will not install. Every time I try to install the software it hard locks my computer at the driver install section and forces me to power reset the system. The keyboard works, but without the software it has very limited function, so limited in fact that I've gone back to my K90. So has anyone else encountered issues with this software? Google it and it seems to be fairly common and a few folk have posted about it over at the Corsair forums, as I did and like me they got no responses.
That Keyboard uses the same software as my K95, not seen any issues installing it maybe work calling corsair on skype.
What version of CUE you using and what OS you running? I'm on the latest version and haven't had any issues with my K70 RGB. Out of interest does the strafe need 2 usb connections (like the K70) to function and you got them both connected?
Windows 8.1 and the software is the latest version downloaded direct from the Corsair website, as for the USB ports, yes they are both plugged in although I believe only one is required for the keyboard to work as the other one is nothing more than a pass through for the USB to function on the back of the keyboard.
Tried going through with a run of CCleaner and see if there's any bad registry or config files left from it's first crash?
