I've been using Windows 10 for some time now and did a clean install on my gaming rig. All is fine and everything works perfectly fine except for my Asus Xonar STX... In this video you'll get to hear my issue, I swapped out the STX for my older Xonar DX with the same result. Do you guys have any ideas? Running the latest UNIXonar driver and tried the original ones too, 2 days of work and no solution.
ON my other system I have a Xonar DX and in Windows 10 Chrome youtube videos stutter (some). Yet if I use Firefox then sound is flawless. This is with UNi ( mod ) and Asus drivers. I never noticed this because I dont use Chrome. My son did
Try Changing the Default Audio format in Sound settings/properties/advanced to 24bit, 41,100khz. Or try other combinations. Exit each audio app/Chrome processes before you change the format. Also try increasing the buffer for Chrome - http://www.enounce.com/support-known-issues/poor-audio-quality-with-google-chrome Are you using the same speakers for both systems?
I fixed all my Chrome issues (and I had some really annoying issues) by googling "Chrome Beta". 1. Download Chrome Beta 2. Install the Beta (It will automatically install over the normal one, not as a seperate program). I didn't have your micro-stuttering sound issues, but I had other issues which got fixed. Hope this helps, good luck.
I've already tried changing sampling rate and other settings, sadly none of it worked so far. And the bit about increasing the buffer does sound like a possible fix, I'll try doing that in about 45 mins. Chrome Beta sounds like a viable option too, I'll try that too, thanks in advance! EDIT: I use the same system for both computers, second rig is no more since I realised that I like my silence so I sold the second rig. I'm going to use the cash from that to create a silent pc About 80% finished now
