Is that one from ACER? With 30~75Hz Freesync refresh rate? It looks stylish. And you may be surprised that 2x Fury will be overkill for that screen. For most of games today 1 Fury (X) should be enough to max them. As 4k screen has 67% more pixels to render than 3440x1440 and I basically get everywhere with max details more than 60fps in 4k (with exception of Witcher). I think performance of that setup will carry you long way. Have fun!
yep thats the one, ya it might be over kill but who knows what the future will bring I dont want to upgrade now for a couple of years. Sadly I already have an LG 34" 3440x1440 but its not free sync so I will have to give to my daughter our my son however is the nicest to me. By the way I cannot max out crysis 3 with my current system so maybe this one will.
By the way if anyone ever gives you guys crap about drivers just know that I had to rid myself of tri monitor setup I had because Nvidia drivers blow so much. I hope I dont have to buy Nvidia again! EVER!
Really try shutting it off sli when you need to because some games or drivers cause problems, then back on when you need to and see what a pain in the arse Nvidia drivers are then. Switching off AMD Crossfire is a breeze with tri monitors but with Nvidia it was such a pain I just went to 1 large screeen.
Don't run SLI, and enabling / disabling CrossFire might be easy, but that's about all it's got going for it I sold my 295X2 and bought this 980 because CF is useless In fact: 2 x 5770s - useless 2 x 6850s - useless 295X2 - still useless In all of the above configs, I ended up either removing one GPU, or disabling CF
In my (inexperienced) eyes it seems like none of you has any clue on how to use a computer. Obviously CFX works, and obviously SLI works, so maybe you're both wrong? :nerd:
I never said either didn't work they both work great, but they don't always work. I play WOT a lot but every time there is a new update for the game my sli would stop working until Nvidia would update there drivers, so during that time I would have to shutdown sli and with 3 screens it a pain in the arse! with AMD however I'd just click a button and it was done. You need to get a clue on how to read before making statements like a troll.
Or maybe you are ? CF works, if all you enjoy doing is benchmarking, and playing about 10% of games out there Otherwise, it doesn't work Even AMDJoe here on G3D advises against it Think I would have gotten rid of three different CF setups over the years, if it worked?
I've ran Crossfire in the past without problems, funnily enough it was the generation Extraordinary skipped. AMD's drivers were absolutely fantastic for a period up until after the launch of the 290 series. Everything went to hell from that point on sadly.
It's such a shame when you think about it. While AMD's launch of the 7xx0 series was less than fantastic, they picked the ball up later on and turned it into something absolutely outstanding. They were spot on driver wise and hardware wise, they were genuinely giving Nvidia a run for their money and even outselling them during a few quarters. What on earth happened?
