I'm bored G3d. I need something to play alongside Witcher 3 and Alien Isolation (while watching anime and reading and a bunch of other stuff that never gets done). But the boring combat and silent (almost dead looking) squadmates of ME2 turn me off so much that I never get past the first 2 hours before uninstalling. Does it get better? Do I replay ME3 for the third time?
I enjoyed more ME1 than the rest of the saga, ME2 and ME3 are too easy and the controls in PC aren't really good IMO
Shhh *sexily places finger on your lip* It has been scientifically proven that ME3 is not as good as ME2... Why does the character hold the weapon up all the time in ME3.. it makes no sense. Miranda is a B!tch.. ALSO SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN.
ME2 in my opinion is the best of the franchise story wise, have you played them all, i took my one charactor through all three games which was a lot of fun, it was also nice to see how some of your choices from previous games tuned out in the next. I would say enjoy them all again from one and go right through the franchise again, cracking games.
TW3 is an open world fetch quest fest. ME3 beats it on every level that matters. Better story, tighter story telling, better combat, better characters. Imo.
I swear the 'Witcher' games are the most overrated games ever. While I agree that TW3 is a pretty good game, it's not that great. And I couldn't stand TW2, I remember constantly thinking 'am I missing something' when I read the utopic 'gushings' from other players I agree with eclap here, I prefer ME2 and ME3 to TW3. TW3 does have a very good story but it is marred by horrible combat, that aspect of TW3 alone stopped me from finishing it. JM2C
First one is the best. But, ME2 is miles above and beyond ME3. The third one is just... so disappointing. And that's got nothing to do with the ending. From some really bad writing, bland characters, stupid decisions (seriously... that pug faced chick that used to be at IGN is in the damn game?) and the fact that they completely ruined side missions.
I can definitely agree on that. You couldn't compare Skyrim to The Witcher 2 because they were 2 different types of games. This time around they obviously wanted that bigger community though. I would've apprecitated a "linear" experience like the previous games just the same to finish the story. Open world was just unnecessary. The quality storytelling of the sidequests do make up for this in part. I'm going to go ahead and start from ME1 though. ^_^
i recently played ME1 and currently halfway in ME2 i think i will continue to play it to ME3 to complete the trilogy again ^_^
I just started playing ME1... the game itself is ok, but the age shows, and the Graphics ruin immersion a bit for me.
We all have opinions and you're certainly welcome to yours. And I do think that ME2 and ME3 were great games. I have ME2 collectors edition and ME3 digital deluxe edition on Origin, so it's not like I'm biased. I am a fan of the Mass Effect series, just like I am of the Witcher series.. But the Witcher 3 is on a whole other level in scope, complexity and sheer awesomeness when compared to the Mass Effect series. And much of that is probably due to the fact that it's not constrained by last gen hardware..
