News that might not come as much of a surprise to everyone as it wasn't the best kept secret. But it has been confirmed now. No news on who will be hosting the show with him though.
Isn't Evans that radio-based village idiot who had all his Ferrari's painted white including the DO NOT TOUCH EXTREMELY RARE AND COLLECTABLE ones? I saw the LaFerrari-Plato-TG track thing today...at least Lewis Hamilton was there lol. Well...first suggestion for a star in a reasonably priceD car: Chris 'Captain America' Evans.
I'm not sure why he picked the same colour for all his collection of cars. He seems like a decent enough guy though. He did let James May drive the Ferrari 250 California.
I think it will be a flop. besides the three main hosts, they also lost Andrew Wilman who was executive producer responsible for much of the shows format/style etc, so it will be interesting to see what all 4 (Clarkson, Hammond, May, Wilman) do next.
Slapping the Top Gear name on this abomination will the the final nail. I'm not interested. I too look forward (mentioned above) to what the real Top Gear crew come up with next. I hope it isn't retirement. It's not like Top Gear is a real job.
The netflix 'House of cars' rumour with C,H and M are still kicking about the net, read something about it on twitter this morning
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Clarkson, May, and Hammond end up on Sky hosting a car show with the same format.
Top Gear was around before the present presenters and for me it was getting old and stale, hopefully the new team/layout will be different and ambitious it will take time but the old three couldn't go on forever.
Well they got rid of the old presenters why not finally get rid of what was arguably the worst, most boring and slow paced part of the show. With each new series I prayed and hoped that the Star in a car part of the show would finally get dropped and it's the one thing that never happened. Not that it really matters now, the show is dead. I would have more respect for the BBC if they canned the Top Gear name and just did a totally newly name showed based on cars instead. I suspect the only reason they haven't done this is because their is still a cache with the name and they are hoping that the name alone, along with morbid curiosity about how this new format show will go, will be enough to drive people to at least give the show a chance.
