If somebody has the R9 390's (without the X) bios, please, send me, I'm willing to try out on my Asus R9 290.

Already flashed it two days ago, bios is working fine on 290. The only difference is memory size showed as 8GB and lower 3dmark score by 400 points. Probably different timings for memory or its a really old bios compared to Trixx bios which i normally use on my Asus.

Hmm, but can you notice performance loss in game as well ? And, could you send me the bios you use on your Asus card ? I've tried flashing the Powercolor ones today but none of them worked, never tried sapphire bios though.

    Thanks, peace.

Sapphire bios is from 290 beacause my asus is giving me blackscreens on official and the 390x is xfx from OC forum. In games there was no difference except wierd vddc jumping all over the place. To test bios you have to use IGPU or your card will give you blackscreen if it cant handle 1500Mhz on memory.

I've flashed this bios but the PC didn't even turn on, keyboard, mouse didn't light up. It's weird, with the powercolor bios I could get till desktop, but suddenly the screen got black and after restarting, I would get a black screen before welcome screen. :(

    What model is your card?

I've flashed the 290 Trix, 390x 8gb and 390x 4gb bios on my reference Sapphire R9 290. All these bios worked with no problem as long i keep the core clock at 1000mhz and memory clocks at 1300.

If your card is not a reference model then you can only flash the bios that use the same PCB. PCS+ bios only work on PCS+ cards, Directcu II bios only work on Directcu II cards. Sapphire Tri-x bios being the exception because the Tri-x uses a reference PCB.

Thanks for posting the 390x BIOS files. I have two 290Xs, I will see if they like the 390x BIOS. :pc1:
