Watched the first half of the game. Sorry... but it was utter sh1te lol. Women's football has a long way to come, some of the girls struggled to do some basics. That being said, it was kinda fun to watch because of the randomness of the whole thing Congrats to Canada, off course.
I agree,it is terrible football. It drives me nuts the way they play.I curse my ass off with the bad play, but for me I watch every game anyway.
U.S. wins 5-2 over Japan in finals. Their third world cup title. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/womens-...ebrations-continue-record-breaking-win-japan/
I didn't expect the US team to score 4 goals in the 1st half that is really what did Japan in because they had to change their strategy pretty quickly. Also the final was the highest scoring final ever.
My opinion on why U.S. is weak on the mens side, is that the U.S. already has 3 major sports, football, baseball and basketball where the countrys main attention is strongly focused on. Not much room for soccer. All the strong soccer countries seem to have is just that... soccer. Peoples sports attention is so strongly focused on just that and not much else. That brings out the best and brightest players in the game and making them the most dominant in the sport.
I think they USA men team are doing pretty good atm tbh, team work wise they seem better then other countries. the most important american players all play in other countries too.
