So I threw out my Z77-DS3H and I bought the MSI Z77A-G45, main rig has the ASRock Z77-Extreme4. Would it be a good idea quality/OC wise to use the MSI in my main rig (sig rig) or just let it be? Thanks in advance!
ASRock Extreme4 has more phases. Besides that there's nothing really, ASRock one also has more Sata3 ports if you have more than 2 SSD's then thats a problem on the MSi one. There's also 1 more USB3 slot in the back + a better sound chip, 892 vs 898.
Mmm... I'll look up what type/brand of phases they are, more isn't always better Yeah I noticed the Sata ports, I have four SSD's ATM so the secondary machine might get two new ones... @Calculus: Latertje geworden zeker?
Not really, plus it uses D-PAK mosfets. It also has a bug because of the hybrid phase controller that it reads .05-.1V lower than the actual voltage...
Bah, same muck then. I read about the D-PAK fets, nothing good. .05 as in 1.30= 1.25? Aaah well, it'll serve as a completely silent movie/entertainment system. An increase in clocks would be welcome since I got my hands on a 2nd 3570K for €80 Now where did that DICE go... BTW: Thanks for the info guys, really appreciate it
I had a MSI based rig, and just started using Asrock for the first time for 2 weeks. My opinion is really early stage but it's been a great pleasure to use so far, and i love it.
