Hi everyone, I have a problem with AC Unity. I have a PC with i5 2500k, 8 gb of ram, 2x 6970 AMD Radeon. I will explain my problem with an example: If a play 2 hours, there are half of an hour in which game runs good, and half of an hour in which games freeze 2 or 3 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes. Obviously, this is only an example, but times are realistic. So, any idea? I tried to decrease each graphics option, disable crossfire, but nothing has worked

What are your texture settings? High is for 3GB VRAM GPUs. Sounds like your cards' memory is getting full, and you get RAM swapping.

Yes I tried to change texture setting because Watch dogs gave me same problem, but while for Watch Dogs it was the problem, for AC Unity nothing changed. However 2x 6970 have 4 gb of ram, in crossfire obviously!

Crossfire doesn't double your memory. Tried low textures?

Ok I have tried five minutes ago, nothing changes, same problem, texture quality doesn't change anything of the problem, duration and entity is equal.

What about RAM usage? 8Gb can be not enough, especially if a lot of stuff runs in background.

Very good point. Check the committed usage in Task Manager.

Ehm, I'm expert about PC gaming, in fact AC Unity is the only game in 4 years which is giving me all this issues. So, Ram usage is not the problem, I close every app before starting the game, I don't have antivirus or others .exe in background. I used MSI Afterburner to see my system status, and during gameplay and freezes ram, both gpu and cpu usage is between 70% and 85%.

I'm not talking about RAM usage...

Have you enabled page file? If you have, how large is it?

    Be carefull!

He is an "expect about PC gaming" cause he thinks crossfire doubles total avalaible Vram.

Commited ram could be like ancient greek for him...

    :)

Sorry bro, I'm not english so sometimes I don't understand english very well. So, what do you mean with 'commited ram'? And, for page file, i have enabled it and it is big 8192 mb. For the 'expert of pc gaming', I have bought 2nd card at the end of 2014, so I cannot know everything about a technology that is new for me :):):)

    (not my image)...

8GB RAM, 8GB page file = 16GB commit limit. You can easily hit that with 2 GPU's (I do).
Watch this amount when playing the game. If it reaches the maximum, that's your problem. If not, I will go and learn Greek.

I will test this tomorrow. However, if the problem is this, I have to increase page file value?

    Correct, or buy more RAM.

I try to increase page file to up to 16 gb, but nothing has changed, game runs well at the start and next freeze for 2 or 3 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes :mad::mad:

there's same problem with my hardware.
unity has very strange memory management.
you can play 1-2 hour without those stuttering, but next time statters begins after few minutes.

and i've noticed some triggers for this memory leak(usefull for 3gb cards).
    1. don't touch setting while gaming. stutters can be caused, if you will turn on msaa and even turn off this. so strange
    2. play carefully. If You Die a few times---game loads few times and it's may to cause memory leaking.
    3. dont use fast travel.
    4. dont rotate camera very quicly)))

how it's happenes: memory usage increases to 2.8gb while loading, then you can play 1, 3, 15 minutes without stuttering.
trigger fires and memory decreases sharply to 2gb(coincidence? dont think so).
you can rotate camera and memory usage increase to 2.4gb again.
then 3 sec, stutter and memory usage 2gb and again....

    but i have 3gb card, non 2gb)))
it's so anying, i think that developers didn't create working management dor 3gb cars.
same thing with 780 ti(youtube), but there aren't problems with 4gb cards even with 4x msaa!

sry my eng, but i spend much time with that bug.
i thought first problem with my cars will be performance.
but i had mistake..VRAM... just vram.
i remember people who told me @7950 need 1.5 gb. i dont want 7950, because it has unnecessary amount of vram. i just bough 570 gxt")))

those rules helps me to play Unity without stuttering on very hihg textures +1080p+fxaa.
