The Apple Watch prices are posted on the Apple website, and oh boy are they a ridicules. Prices start at $349 and go all the way up to $17,000. So who is going to jump first?
http://appleinsider.com/articles/15...ly-blamed-on-haptic-vibrator-and-oled-display any care to do the math?
If they had like a modular design where the chip could be updated in the future, I'd pay that much. Well not for that watch, because it's hideous, but if like Tag Heuer designed a Google Watch with a upgradable design, in a nice chassis, I'd pay like $1000 for it. I own two Burberry Watches, both are over $1000 and a Seiko that's $600. But those watches will be around forever. The Apple Watch is already slow and laggy and the battery life is terrible. It's worse than the Moto 360 and that was panned for having terrible battery.
Yes but it's about status and "I have one, I must be cool" vibe Apple have been doing with the marketing lately. I certainly know of people who'll buy this for the fact it's something flashy and new from Apple :/
gen 1 apple watch = price fail, hardware fail, battery fail I believe the price is set high due to apple not wanting to sell many and they figure the people who do buy. Will have no common sense or are part of the apple cult so they will not notice there useless.
I grabbed a couple for our studio for potential development. For the price, these things are outrageous. You can but a smartphone these days for the cost of just one of these watches. Also, in order to even get the watch setup, you need to sync it with the Apple Watch app on a smartphone.. So if you don't actually have an iPhone, you won't be able to get through the initial setup! You can't unbox it and just start using it.. Seriously don't understand Apple these days, but moreover, this watch this is a pathetic fad. Hope that it goes away sooner than later personally.
I hope they don't, I want them to be worthless in a year from now when they are replaced / updated, so I can laugh my mother hubbing ass off at people that bough one for personal use.
...Smart Watches...Are just dumb.... I like my Fitbit for its tracking, but I wouldn't pay anymore than what I did for something of the sort.
Why anyone would want to keep having to charge a watch every couple of days, I will never know. I can read texts on the go, my mates says to me. How hard is it to take the phone out of your pocket to do that? So, so lazy and pointless.
Not only do you get an overpriced, unappealing, watch, you get to spend even more money to get it serviced. "AppleCare+ for Apple Watch Edition extends your coverage to three years from the original purchase date of your Apple Watch Edition1 and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a $1,000 service fee plus applicable tax2."
