Good question: Why Intel does not make an application that measures CPU cores temp?

    Hello,
Title says it all. Why ?
Does that imply that core temp doesn't matter ? and CPU temp is the important temp to monitor ? and CPU Tcase is the factor to consider when alarming temp is reached so CPU can throttle its speed ?

    A question for discussion
    Thanks

While I dont see which tool you mean in the link, the Intel utility is for "Intel" motherboard, not a general software .

Never used it though. Afterburner logs everything I need.

Hmm...considering that you have an ASUS RoG board (hey, so do I), haven't you looked into the Front Base control panel? These should give you the temperatures and voltages of everything inside your rig.

You mean inside BIOS ? of course I know (plus cpu temp there is tcase not core temp)
I'm taking about windows environment. Plus, an "Intel official tool" would be ideal to have the most accurate since it's an "intel" cpu, or at least we'll have no doubt of compatibility with said cpu

What's your cpu temp at load and at what frequency?

AIDA64 is the best monitoring software IMO. A program does not necessarily need to come from either Intel or AMD. The sensors are able to be read and monitored by most HW monitoring software that can monitor different types of sensors. RealTemp, CPUz, HWINFO and the list goes on.

I use Realtemp. Does the job well.
I would not look to Intel for software :)
